Why We're Here?

If I really thought I could answer the question of why we're here, you should never trust me.
The reality is, we are here, with caveman genes in a wickedly complex environment that must baffle our genetic engineering.  I'm close to 60 and have a 9yr old rambunctious son and a whizz of a 14yr old daughter, a beautiful stepdaughter 13, a handsome stepson 7, not to mention my fetching rockstar wife who's 15yrs younger than me and teaches aerobics to boot.  Does that make sense?
I'm a full time anesthesiologist, an Associate Professor, an Anti-Aging doc, and I guess you've noticed, I'm developing this website.  Energy is in constant demand; that, and time, are my biggest challenges.
But I'm not alone.
There are a lot of us who have outlived our genetic destiny and are challenging our physiology. 
I don't know why I'm here, despite my attempts at self-destruction.  But I am, and I want to make the most of what I am now given.
